Eclipse di Luna

Tapas is one of my favorite types of food. I love that I can taste test a lot of different dishes without people getting mad at me for picking off their plate! And it is so nice not leave a restaurant feeling stuffed. Last night we went to Eclipse di Luna in Buckhead before seeing the Rockettes at the Fox.

I think there was a consensus on at least one dish - we all loved the tomato and mozzarella with balsamic & olive oil - THIS sounds just like the recipe. It couldn't be any easier! Mom and I will definitely try this one at our houses soon.

Radio City Christmas with the Rockettes

My parents and aunt came in town to see the Rockettes with us at the Fox Theater in Atlanta. On a side note, the Fox Theater was opened on Christmas Day in 1929. This was Jay and my first time seeing the Rockettes so we were excited to see them at the Fox. We're so glad that we saw it live instead of watching the DVD. Although, now I think we'll buy it just to have when we want the Christmas spirit. You can buy it here.

We also sat in the Orchestra level. This time our view was so much better than the balcony seats that we had this summer. I would definitely recommend spending the extra $20 or so for Orchestra level.

We were so close that we could see the expressions on the dancer's faces, and every detail of their outfits. It was amazing!

Let's Eat

This year we tried a couple of new dishes for Thanksgiving. One was the Trifle I posted about below. We also tried a pork loin with a mustard/honey/rosemary sauce wrapped in bacon. It was really simple and it turned out to be so tasty. Here's the recipe.

(The ham was from Honeybaked, and the side dish is just peaches with cranberry sauce - baked in the oven for about 30 minutes on 250. We also tried the sweet potato casserole from Honey Baked. It received a lot of compliments!)

I took this picture before we put out the side dishes - sweet potatoes, regular buttered/garlic potatoes and steamed broccoli. We definitely had enough to eat! We are so blessed!

I realized after I posted this picture what Jay and dad were doing...waiting for me to sit down. :)

Home for the Holidays

So happy to have family in town for Thanksgiving this year!

I leave guest keys for everyone so they feel like they can leave if they want to shop or just run out for a minute. I also added small bottles of water so that our guests didn't have to go hunting in the middle of the night for something to quench their thirst.

I try to have fresh flowers, mints and water in the guest rooms when visitors come.
