Happy Birthday to You

Jay and I aren't too stuffy but we do like celebrate our "occasions." Jay's birthday fell over Labor Day weekend, so to his enjoyment he had a three-day birthday weekend. It's a joke with us that birthday's are never one day. Jay's parents took us out to lunch Saturday, then we went to Stoney River Sunday night for steak & drinks, and had cake & presents on Monday. I decorated the house on Friday, leaving the gifts sitting out throughout the weekend just to torture him - he LOVES gifts. It was sweet to watch him mull around them all weekend! My parents were AWESOME and gave Jay $250 toward the new computer that he has been stewing over!

Happy Birthday, Michelle

Michelle's birthday is July 23rd, but she had a final that night so we couldn't celebrate. We waited a night, and I took her to the W Hotel in Buckhead for drinks & dinner.

We started the night at Whiskey Blue, the rooftop bar on top of the W. It was great - we got a table with a full view of Downtown Atlanta. Dinner was downstairs at Market - which was very good as well. I think we'll be leaving Cherokee County for birthday celebrations more often...

Happy Birthday to Jay

Jay's birthday was September 7th. It was pretty low key this year, but at least we were able to spend the day together. We walked the dogs, worked on the yard a little and chilled out watching a movie. We went out to Brookwood Grill, which is his birthday tradition (huge steak and potatoes)! Happy birthday, Jay.

Happy Birthday to Me!

I had a really good birthday this year. For me, good means low key, and with my family. Jay met me after class and we went out to dinner. Afterward, he had my presents set out and wrapped with pretty paper and bows so it looked nice. It was so sweet! I am very lucky!

Happy Birthday, Jay!

We just celebrated Jay's 31st birthday, Friday September 7th. He left from a business trip in Boston at 9:00a.m. and landed in Atlanta around 2:30p.m. After fighting the Atlanta airport and traffic, he finally made it home around 4:00p.m. Phew! Long travel birthday for Jay! But he was finally able to relax, have dinner, blow out the candles and open gifts. Thanks to everyone for your cards and money! I think he enjoys shopping for what he wants much better than surprises. After all, he did pick out a golf club and driving mocs that were "from me." Tired from traveling all day, he decided he wanted to see a movie and have a quiet night. We saw Supberbad, which was hilariously funny. He loved it!! Happy 31st birthday, Jay!
