Congratulations to the Sindens! Brooke & Andy were married at Primrose Cottage in Roswell, GA on July 25th. Primrose was built in 1839 by Roswell King (the city's founder) and is the town's oldest permanent home. The wedding was very well done - the food was great, open bar, good company...just the way it should be.

Michelle's birthday is July 23rd, but she had a final that night so we couldn't celebrate. We waited a night, and I took her to the W Hotel in Buckhead for drinks & dinner.
We started the night at Whiskey Blue, the rooftop bar on top of the W. It was great - we got a table with a full view of Downtown Atlanta. Dinner was downstairs at Market - which was very good as well. I think we'll be leaving Cherokee County for birthday celebrations more often...

This year we decided to run the Woodstock Freedom Run 5K on the morning of the 4th. We were able to park about 100 yards from the starting line, and there were only about 400 runners. Definitely more our speed.
While the Peachtree Road Race is one of the biggest events in Atlanta, the baggage of getting to the starting line by 7:30AM isn't worth the t-shirt. Up VERY early, driving to Marta, Marta to Buckhead, Run 10K, collect t-shirt, Marta back to the North Springs station, drive home. All with 55,000 other participants.
