Snow in Atlanta!

Over the last couple of days, we've had some snow dustings in Atlanta. Seeing the white landscape reminds me of growing up in Michigan. I spent a lot of time building igloos in my youth. :) The best part about snow in Atlanta is that we get to enjoy it for a few days, then it's gone! We're pretty close to our neighbors (as you can see from the picture) - adults and children alike have been playing outside - this is Jay saying "hi" to our next door neighbor!

Here's a movie of the dogs playing in the snow! You can hear the next door neighbor's girls playing in the background - so sweet!

Kennesaw Mountain - What a workout!

On New Year’s Day, Jay and I took a walk up Kennesaw Mountain. We walked it a few times last year but this time we really realized that we’re out of shape!!! We were talking on our way up the mountain about how nice it was to spend time outdoors with the dogs – and without spending any money. We like that the people are really friendly on the trails – they often say “good morning” with smiles. It’s really a favorite place of ours to walk! You can't really tell in the pictures but we could clearly see the city of Atlanta behind us. If you were to zoom in on the middle picture, you would be able to see the king and queen, buckhead, midtown, downtown and Stone Mountain. I wish it would have come out better!

About This Blog

I soon realized that no journey carries one far unless, as it extends into the world around us, it goes an equal distance into the world within.
